Hello,

I was trying to install a program on my toshiba satellite p205-s7476.during d installation i was charging my laptop.all of a sudden my laptop hang for some minute that i was unable to move the cursor.i tried wait for the system to respond but to my suprise my screen faded off to white colour.i tried unplug my charger from the laptop but the laptop is still indicating charging despite the fact that i had unplug the charger.i wait a little bit for the white screen to respond and come back to normal but it didnt respond that i had to force a shut down through the power bottom.but to my surprise it didnt shut down and my laptop is still indicating charging.i gat no choice than to remove the battery.after removing d battery and try to power it again i discover that
the screen would stay black,
no POST, nothing at all on the
display. The HDD would spin
up and would
not boot. The DVD drive would
spin up and attempt to read a
disc if one was in the tray but
still would not boot.plz what should i do?

Would you be prepared and willing to restore to factory settings, there would be lost of data? (Better than a morbid computer)

I am afraid that the technician may be your last resort. Sorry!

Unfortunately, Toshiba does no longer issue rescue disks, if you had Window's disk, I would have suggested to boot on them to attempt a repair.

You may have installed an incompatible driver.

Again sorry

Hi

Try this:

1. Turn off your computer
2. Disconnect every wire from it (including power)
3. Disconnect the battery from the bottom of the computer. There will be two tabs labeled 1 and 2.
4. Re-plug in the power wire. (the battery should not be in the computer)
5. Turn on the power. The screen will work. Choose start windows normally. (if you get that screen)
6. Go to Control Panel -> (Mobile PC) -> Power Options -> Under Balanced choose change plan settings
7. Choose Change advanced power settings
8. Find Processor power management and change the minimum processor state from 5% to 100% for each On battery and Plugged in.
9. Click Apply then OK
10. Shut down you computer.
11. Disconnect the power cord.
12. Re-install the battery on the bottom of the laptop, plug in the power cord, and restart the computer.

Good luck
