Hello try this and let me know:
*Remove the battery and the charger.
*Press/hold the Power button for about 60 seconds.
*Plug-in the charger.
Boot the lappy happy!

Still doesn't work the lights in the laptop are on but there is no activity on the screen.

It worked for hundreds like mirable!
If you hear a windows jingle, it's the screen!
If you don't hear the jingle, it's hardware or windows.
1. I suggest resetting to factory settings and if that fails we either have a hard disk or mummyboard problem for which I have no solution.
