Black Screen on Toshiba Qosmio, hard drive or fadoesn't start up

Hello,

I cannot seem to get my laptop to turn on. The screen is black, I don't hear the hard drive starting up and the fan doesn't turn on. It was working fine the night before. Does anyone have any idea as to what the problem could be?

The power light does come on, but nothing else happens.

This laptop has Vista on it.
