Hi swatibpatil13,
As you mentioned the pen drive works fine in Windows 7 but not in Windows XP, this problem may happen if there are corrupted or incorrect keys in the registry.
There is a fix for this problem available from Microsoft, you can check the below mentioned link:

If the above fix doesn't work and you want to edit the registry settings manually you can check the below link for detailed steps:
