Hello,

Trying to watch lovefilm via tv. I can watch on laptop fine, so i bought the cables lovefilm directed me to buy (VGA - Component and an audio one).

Connect all the cables and change input on my LG TV (37LF7700 i think) to component and then switch my laptop to external output (FN F7 key) and my computer screen goes blank and only the audio comes from my tv, the picture is still blank. Lovefilm have advised they dont know and cant help. Any ideas?

Hi anniec83,

In order to assist you I would like to know the System Model Number of your Laptop along with the manufacturer. Also, mention in your reply the grahics card (or chip) in your computer. This problem might be happening because of the graphics setting. Once you reply with the Laptop details requested above, I can try to find the appropriate settings for your machine.

Please do write back to us.

Not knowing what you have for the tv or computer, are you sure you have the right output / input cable connections right. The cables should be color coded to match the cable ports on the out / input of the laptop tv.

As stated above, my tv is a LG TV 37LF7700.

My comp is an IBM thinkpad type 2374, windows XP, IE8??? Sorry, its a company comp so i know very little about it.

And YES i have the correct cables, the vga end of the cable goes in the VGA slot and the component end fits in the compenent holes in the TV!

grahics card (or chip) in your computer - havent got a clue sorry.

Hi anniec83,

Sorry for the delayed response. Try updating the video drivers for your machine. And then try to connect your TV. Try to get an output on the TV for any other program other than lovefilms.

I tried finding the drivers from the below mentioned link but I couldn't find the driver for ThinkPad 2374:

If you need help in looking up the model number below mentioned link might help:
