Dear All,

I am using excel 2007. In my dataset, I have following: Column A - Set of locations and Column B: Number of times location appears. When I apply Autofilter to select top 10 locations based on volume, I get the top 10 locations.
But, the problem appears, when I copy the top 10 locations and related volume. By default only top10 locations should be selected, but excel selects all of them. But when I click on "Reapply" Filter, it can work well. Is it because of my Excel setting issue? Please advice if you have been experience this issue before.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Rizvisa,

I tried to copy and paste the selected cells to new worksheet and this issue prompted. Basically before I reformat and upgrade OS to window 7, I do not see this issue happen. This issue just prompted after upgrading OS to Window 7. But there is something weird encounter, my friedn also using Window 7 but they do not face this issue whereby I have to click on the "reapply" button (under "Data" Tab --> Sort and filter) then only I can copy and paste the selected cells. Please don't mind to share if you have any idea to resolve this issue.

Thanks.

I just tried on win 7 / office 2010. I was able to it, What version of excel you are using. Also could you post a sample workbook that has that issue on some public file share site and post back the link to the file back here. From my sample run, I also did not had any issue

These cells could be crashed by any reason, I had such unpleasant experience in my work with Excel files.

You need to use download microsoft excel repair file software
