Hello,

I have a Toshiba NB205-N211 laptop. Recently it has been acting very weird.

Sometimes it will turn on and start and load just fine.
Sometimes it will turn on and come to the toshiba screen, with the big red letters that say TOSHIBA, has F2 and F12 options at the bottom but I can't go to them, I press the buttons and nothing will come up.
This time I tried turning on my computer and it did the same thing but it is missing the F2 and F12 options.

I have tried tons of things, starting it with the battery and charger in, without the battery and no charger plugged in, and just the charger plugged in with no battery.
I have tried holding down 0 until it beeps to go to out-of-box state, it doesn't beep or go to another screen, it stays at the startup screen.
I have unplugged the charger and taken out the battery and held down to power button for 30 seconds and another time for 1-2 minutes. Put everything back in and nothing.
I have turned it on and turned it off then held down the ESC key, turned it back on, nothing.

Overall everything I've tried doesn't work. I might let it rest for a while to see if it will come back on fine later, but for now, it's doing nothing and I'm getting very annoyed with it. Please help me!!! :(

It sure looks to me that you have harddisk failure.

I suggest that you see a qualitfied hands-on technician.

Sorry
