Laptop connect to tv VGA and RCA no audio

Hello,

I have a windows 7 compaq presario cq56, i connected it to my tv a 24in seiki flat screen tv. Ive connected it via vga and the picture works, so i bought a rca cable (red/ white to 3.5 jack) and there is no sound ive tried everything go to control panel and sound setting and right click and check all hiding connects didnt work no thing worked plzz help «SOS»«urgent»

The problem is probably with the TV and not the laptop. Check to see if the sound works with headphones connected to the laptop. Then check the settings on the TV to see if you can activate the RCA input jacks on the TV. Many TVs do not have auto-sensing of the input jacks.

the sound works I have mini speakers connected to it

make sure that the rca cable is compatible to your windows 7 audio driver. and try to check your windows 7 or pc or laptops if all drivers are properly installed in it.. or try to check the manual of your TV and it's settings..
