Sound on my laptop doesnt work

Hello,
hi everybody!
is there anybody who can help?
since 2 weeks sound has stoped to work because i installed by mistake a new bios. i have no clue how to solve this. by the way, a small red circle with a white cross appared near the speaker icon. i m new on this forum and my hopes in your help are high.

Hello,
Try this 1
Make sure that your Audio is not disabled or muted. Also make sure that its not
disabled in CMOS settings.
Click on Start --> In search bar, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter.
"Device Manager" will be opened. Expand "Sound. video and game controllers"
by double-clicking on it or by click on the "+" symbol. Underneath you can see
your audio device's name --> If there is any downward arrow symbol on it then
right-click on it --> Select "Enable".
If the problem still exists then download the audio drivers from your
manufacture's website and install it.
