Hello,

Try this 1

Change the open with type to default in the registry.

Click on Start --> In search box, type regedt32 and press Enter.

"Registry Editor" will be opened. First backup your registry by going to

"File --> Export" and save the file with any name in desired location.

Now at the left-side, go to location

HKEY_CURRENT_USER --> Software --> Microsoft --> Windows -->

CurrentVersion --> Explorer -->FileExts
.

Now look for .bat folder under "FileExts" folder and click on it.

1 ) At the right hand side, make sure that for "Default", the "Data" should be

"(Value not set). If you find any value, just double-click on "Default", delete the

value and click on OK. Under "Name" only "Default" should exist, if you find any

other Value name (Example: Application) then delete it.

Now on the left hand side, click on "OpenWithList" which is sub-part of .bat. Follow

the above step 1.

Now on the left hand side, click on "OpenWithProgIds". At the right hand side,

make sure that for "Default", the "Data" should be "(Value not set) and for the

bat_auto_file the value should be "(zero-length binary value)".

Good Luck
