Using research tools

While projecting a dvd movie to a tv screen , I would like to be able to go to and use research area(another program) on my laptop with interrupting the movie. Is this possible?? I have a hp g6-2395nr laptop thanx

Yes, You should be able to change the two displays to be independent from each other. You can look for the Intel icon in the Control Panel. This assumes your laptop uses a Intel chipset. Open the Intel video display options and select the option that gives you independent screens.

Thanks for the info- using AMD not intel- but I did get it figured out. Thanks for all your help
