Saw similar questions posted, but not within the last two years that had my same circumstances. I am able to use Gmail without problems, and can get onto Internet, but can't browse. I have Windows 7, Toshiba Satellite, use Firefox. Need to be able to find a solution. Internet provider checked out router and connections just this AM, everything working and his computer displayed excellent router speeds.....but not mine! I wanted to check out some Facebook pictures in animal rescue....took me 40 mins. to see eleven of them............any suggestions, please. Thank you.

Hello,

Try this 1

1) First temporary disable your firewall \ antivirus and check if you are able to

browse.

2) Reset the "Firefox" browser.

Hold the Windows key and press the R key. "Run" will be opened. Now enter

firefox -safe-mode ---> Press Enter.

Click on "Reset" button --> Reset.

Good Luck

Hello,
Try this 1
Seems like you forgot to give a space after the word firefox. It's firefox -safe-mode
Copy the bolded text --> paste it in the "Run" and press Enter.
Good Luck

You are correct! I tried that and all was good, AFTER I reset Firefox. I was a little hesitant to do that, for fear of not having everything showing back up, but Firefox didn't take anything away........and it also told me I had to reinstall Flashplayer.........when I did that, all was well. Thank you so much for responding so quickly.
My computers are so important to me for several reasons; I am in animal rescue and I need the internet to help save those who suffer cruelty, who are lost, or dumped by their uncaring owners.....and for so many other good reasons. :)
