Hi Ben_1990
i'm sorry i'm that good with laptops or any PC :) !!!!!!!! but i think i found what you ask me and it's (High Definition Audio Device) . but if i go to control panel -sound -i've got Speakers (High Definition Audio Device Working ) and 2nd line Digital output Device (SPDIF) (High Definition Audio Device Working). if i go to properties to each one to test the sound it'll shaw it's working but in fact it's not !!!
Many Thanks :)

Go to Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager
Check if you have any hardware problems in there (Should be indicated by yellow ? )
Then search for drivers for them..It may help, or try downloading a different set of sound drivers from the same place but a different set..
Say your using Realtek HD audio download Realtek AL89 just try a different set for now i gotta sleep :P
