When I turn my laptop on a black page shows up

I bought my computer about a month and a half ago, but I keep facing problems. I have samsung series 9 windows 7 laptop. Before when my laptop did not start I would press F4 to start a recovery and restore page and was able to restore my computer. But when I was updating my computer, it crashed. But after that when I turn my computer, the samsung logo come up then turns black. But the weird thing is on the black screen, on the left of my screen there is a white dash that keeps blinking. What should I do?
