Power indicator blinks

good day, i am having a problem with a Compaq laptop. when i try to plug the power cord to the laptop to enable me charge or on the laptop. the white light that indicate that there is power going to the laptop from the cord blinks. please tell me what to do

hi there,

remove the battery then press

power button to drain all the current

then resit battery and plug to adaptor
