My sata hard disk not detect,,,

when i'm installing windows xp this message always come up;

"Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer. pls solve my probleme as soon as possible....

After plugging in the device, go to device manager (In run type "devmgmt.msc") In Device manager go to "Universal serial bus controllers" It should list the storage devices that you have connected to your PC. Right click and then click "Uninstall. Remove the USB drive and restart your system.
Try connecting the device again. I think this should solve the problem.

Hi,

The drive will not show until it is formatted.
Right click My Computer - select Manage - select Disk Management you should see your drive and be able to format it.
