Hi

You must reinstall your sound device driver.

Good luck

Thank you

Do you know how to find which driver it is or how to find out what make the media / sound card is so I can get the driver for it?

You are welcome,

If you go to your device manager, or control panel then system hardware, you should see your sounf device, click on the + sign for details.

Usually the driver should still be in your system but there might have been an update. If I were you, I would search on Packard Bells website for the sound card installed on your system. I have not been on the PB website since the Queen was engaged to Prince Philip.

It's all there in your device manager.

I hate to repeat myself but go you your control panel, click on system, click on hardware, click on hardware manager, locate the sound controler, click on the + sign next to it, read the card details (make and model) and note them down.

Go to PB website and search for the driver for your PC or search on the sound card's manufacturer website.
