I lost my restore discs; how can I get replacements? Is there a way to get free download, since I paid for the original ones and , therefore, own rights?

That's a 10 year old computer. Even HP will not sell you replacement disks for such an old computer.
Sorry - perhaps you should download Ubuntu Linux in place of Windows.
