WD 1 TB se external hard drive

My External Hard Drive is not seen in "my computer" but when I run devmgmt.msc in start menu it shows the driver. I have uninstalled the drivers restarted my computer and loaded the drivers back in automatically. It is still not showing in the "my computer" area. It shows it in my devices. When i click on troubleshoot it says nothing is wrong.

Easy to FIX

Right click on my computer
Choose MANAGE
Then find DISK MANAGEMENT
You should see your ext hard drive under the list.
Right click on it, and choose CHANGE DRIVE LETTER
Choose anything, but I recommand something higher than M:

It is not shown under the list. It instead shows it as disk 1 Unknown Not Initialized. When I tell it to initialize using the following partition style MBR (Master Boot Record) It gives me a Virtual Disk Manager Error stating The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
