1. Open the Start menu and type "msconfig" into the Windows Live search box, then press "Enter". This will bring up a new dialog box on your screen.

Click the "Startup" tab to display a list of all the programs and services that launch at Windows startup.
Scroll down the list until you locate the "LManager" entry.

Click the checkbox next to the "LManager" entry to disable the Acer Launch Manager service. You may need to restart your computer for the change to take effect.

Thanks Ambucias.
I appreciate your opinion, but I cannot locate any "LManager" in the a list of all the programs and services that launch at Windows startup.
Some of my keypads has also ceased working.
Pls what else can I do?
I really need help on these two issues with my laptop -Acer Extensa 4420-5963.

The only thing left I can think of is to reinstall the launch manager which you might find here:
