I l load a cd and it spins and the computer sees it. Unfortunately some of the cds will show 0 bytes on the cd, and others will show the bytes and work fine. The cds that don't work in my laptop work fine in my desktop, which is older.
I have an acer extensa 5620z. I have no idea what the problem is or what to do about it.

Method 2: Set Autoplay Settings

a) Open AutoPlay by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then clicking AutoPlay.
b) In the list next to the Audio CD or Enhanced Audio CD under media, click the new action " play audio CD using Windows Media Player (or the application you want to use)"
c) Click on Save and check to see if the issue persists
