Why Can't windows read my cd?

Hi i have lots of contents on a cd. It shows up on my computer but when i click on it, it appears empty but it says the contents has taken up 6gb out of 8gb memory. Can someone help me?

Hang in there....

What kind of data is on the CD? Did you burn the disk? If you made the burn, did you close it? Not all CD/DVD readers writers can play together, so make certain you always close your cd/dvds.
