Inaccessible Corrupted Pen Drive

My 2GB Trancend pendrive is not showing up in my computer.
When i insert the pendrive, the driver is successfully installed and I see a removable disk(name) but when I try to open that it says "please insert a disk".

Even in the diskpart->disk list, the usb device is shown with only 0b 0b space.
It says no device found or input device empty when i try to access the usb device from cmd as well.

Please help on this.

My best guess is the drive is dead. There are two parts to a USB drive:
1. the USB drive interface
2. the memory module

In your case it looks like the memory module has failed.
