Computer crashing/not starting

Sorry in advance, im typing on a phone but for the past couple days Ive been having an issue where my computer will shut off but the power remains on, the only way to turn it off after it does that is if I unplug the power. Also when it does it a lot the computer wont even boot up it just turns on and no noise comes from it.

I suggest you take the laptop to a local repair shop. This looks like a hardware problem that needs hands-on access to diagnose.

Its a desktop, i have it open and Ive been trying to work on it for the past few days

It's probably either a bad power supply or Motherboard problem.
Do you have access to a known good power supply?
I would try replacing it first since it's the easier of the two to replace.
