Pen drive is not accessible

when i connected my pen drive into laptop or computer it will not accessible. when i connected it make some sound.when i connected it make some sound like detected .but when i double click on pen drive it gives message please insert a pen drive.

My best guess is the drive is dead. There are two parts to a USB drive:
1. the USB drive interface
2. the memory module

In your case it looks like the memory module has failed.
