Could anyone tell me whats wrong with my laptop

I wonder if you could help me, I had a problem with my asus K53E laptop, the power jack was loose so I got it changed.
It worked fine for a few hours then today when I tried turning it on it wont power on. I can see the light for charging goes on when I put the power cable in but the laptop does not turn on.

Do think it could have been the motherboard that has been damage in process of changing the charging jack?

I have tried taking the battery out and holding the power for 30 sec which didn't work.
