Duplicating keyboard entries one key make two entries

using win 7 home on Toshiba p755 laptop
after a Microsoft upgrade this problem occurred
the space bar enters a 0 (Number) and a space the 0 does the same
the r enters r4 and the 4 enters r4
the y enters y6 and the y enters y6
the numeric pad 5 enter 52 and 2 enters 52

so these keys are locked
any way to rename the keys

have tried fn numlk fn ins holding right shift key8 seconds filters no turned on , press left shift 5 times sticky keys not on, have restored to 3 previous times,

the on screen keyboard works n a usb external board works correctly

3days before the micro update had installed Seagate external drive n installed its back up dashboard n made a back up complete back up.

does any on have thoughts or fixed this. logically cannot accept keypad went bad,
last option is to reinstall windows
