PS3 problems

Hello,
I have a slight problem with my PS3, everytime I try to connect it to my wireless connection. When I test the connection and it starts to Exchange Key Information, it suddenly times out and shows me a message saying "The Key Information Exchange timed out". I don't understand why it doesn't work, if my laptop is connected to the same wireless connection does just fine.
I would appreciate any advice or help, thanks.
