my linksys router is transmitting wireless but there's no internet although the internet cabel is in

ok, so let us make certain that there is a connection.

Remove the linksys router and plug your machine into your ISP router. Do you surf now? If yes, then rebuild the linksys. If no, call your ISP.

Have fun is right. You will gather all the virus available to download from the internet. Plus that connection will never work.

Plug your router into the ISP's modem, plug your computer into the router, bring up a browser, enter the web address of the router into the address bar. If the web browser doesn't open check that cables are in working order, that the plug is fully seated. Buy a new router. last thing is to contact your ISP. Your router may be giving up the ghost. Or you computers network card has funky setting.
