Keyboard and mouse not working together windows xp

Hi I have this problem that the keyboard and mouse can not work properly together so that's when I'm using the keyboard and use the mouse , the keyboard stop working and i have heard some solutions about palm check or something but i have windows XP and can't find it , so please try and help me

how do your keyboard and mouse connect?

USB? Wireless? PS2?

They are both Wireless from Microsoft ...sorry i forgot to mention :)

How you downloaded the latest drivers from microsoft's website?

Is the sensor on the same level as the mouse/keyboard?

I didn't download anything from Microsoft... I bought the mouse and the keyboard after I Got the pc and I have been using them since then.
do i have to download anything ?

what is the model number of your kit?

Ideally yes, you need to install the software.
