COMPAQ LAPTOP HELP!!

Hello,



I have a Compaq laptop. It was working perfectly fine then the power ended. The screen comes back on after charging, however it doesn't come on properly. It goes to a black page with options such as (start windows normally) and (safe mode), when I press enter on (start windows normally), it return back to the page with the options on with 'windows error recovery' along the top of the screen. Please can someone help?! I've tried everything :(

Have you tried to boot on your windows CD and try recovery mode?

Sounds like your (MBR) Master Boot Record is messed up. If you Google "fix MBR" you will be presented with a lot of information about recovering your boot up processes. Good luck
