                    Norton is trying to alert you that you might have a malware type program that is consuming the computer resources.  You could press Ctrl+Alt+Del (all at the same time) to get into "Task Manager"  You want to look at the "Applications" list to see what is running.  You could also look at "Processes".  But, there a dozens of processes that are normal for Windows to run.  
You could also download some anti-malware programs like Malwarebytes or Spybot. They might be able to identify malware that Norton misses.

Download the following Adwcleaner created by Xplode
https://ccm.net/downloads/security-and-maintenance/6911-adwcleaner/
Launch it (for Windows 7 and 8, click right to run as administrator)
Click on delete
