Well, you really need hardware, like firewire, I am certain.
Does your manual make reference to firewire (ieee 1394) connection? If it does, then you need a port on your pc/laptop and a cable.
Do you have those? If so, then all you need to do is open you favorite video capure software, and put your camera in playback mode, I am certain.
