I was working on my office laptop a few days ago and I was prompted to download java at first I disregarded but then when I was attempting to view a picture I ended up having to download it. I went to the Java website and I guess while downloading I accepted other applications to download after everything was done I went to get back on the internet and it keeps saying it can't display the web page and that it could be due to firewalls. I checked my settings everything is normal and shouldn't be causing a problem but I still can't view anything on the internet. I attempted a system reset but the computer won't reset to an earlier date. Please help!

Yes, that's what I mean.

1.Click on start then on run

2. Type iexplorer.exe and click okay.

If the above does not work you will need uninstal the software you installed before the issue.

It says windows cannot find iexplorer.exe. Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. To search for a file click the start button and then click search. I've already removed/uninstalled everything and it still isn't working. I think I broke the internet at this point haha

Suppose you start your computer in safe mode with networking, (tapping F8 just after pressing the start) can you access IE?

The only thing that did was change my screen resolution...

Safe mode with networking does not change the screen resolution.

When you tried to reset to an earlier date, did you pick a date in bold prior to the issue?

How did you proceed to uninstall whatever you install?

From which site did you download that java stuff?

F8 only changes the resolution on this laptop.

I attempted to restore to several different bold dates and it would go through the process but then once the computer restarted it would be incomplete and wouldn't restore to an earlier date.

At first I just deleted them off the desktop but then I went into uninstall the programs through the control panel.

I googled java and selected the Java site java.com/en/download/

Erin, please confirm:

To get in safe mode, you pushed the power button and within a millisecond you tapped or held the F8 key, you did not let it run before pressing the F8 key.

Thanks
