The arrow keys on my keyboard aren't working, when I press right, it goes right for a few seconds, but then starts going downward, when I press left, it goes up immediately, but I dont seem to have a problem with the up/down buttons. I have a HP laptop with windows 8. Also, I spilled some water on my keyboard a few weeks ago. I really need this fixed, its for gaming purposes.

Man, that is classic. You spilled water on your keyboard, an electronic device, let alone the LAP TOP ITSELF! And you want to know how to fix it. Replace it!

This is too much for me....water on the keyboard and they want it fixed!

Stand by!

Ok step by step:
1. Unplug the keyboard.

2. put it into a tub of rice for 45 days in a cool dry play, like wrapped up in a cloth.

3. get all of the rice out of the keyboard, and try it again in 45 days!

I am certain there is more problems then just the keyboard.

Okay, but I already went through that process right after I spilled the water, and no, nothing else is damaged, my laptop runs fine, all except the arrow keys.

If there is no rice grain et could a be a Lays potato chip (salt and vinegar) crumb or a Cup a Soup noodle. If that is not the case, see if a qualified hands-on technician can take the thing apart, dry it and check the circuits.

Good luck
