LG Screen goes directly into Power Savings Mode

Hello,

Before I plug in my monitor (LG Flatron L206WU) into my computer is says " check signal cable" with a blue light. Then once I plug it in ( into either a desktop or laptop) it says "USB Power savings mode" then the light turns orange and it turns off. I have tried changing power sources and different input devices but still no go.

Also to mention it has worked fine for years, and there were no notable changes to anything before this happened...

having the same problem, with brand new cords & all....what make is your computer? Mine is an HP desktop.....
