Software issue with windows 7 laptop

One night I turn off my laptop and wake up the next morning to turn it on. After logging in there is a black screen with a moving cursor. The only thing that changed from the day before was that I downloaded malewarebytes. I turn it off and back on in safe mode to run malewarebytes and it doesn't find anything. Then I try a system restore to a previous date and it worked for a while. I had task manager and a few other programs open. All my programs disappeared but task manager. The task bar and all my icons were gone. All that was there was task manager and my wallpaper. I cannot start any new tasks with task manager it keeps not responding. Please help

Now after being open for about an hour with only task manager open it goes back to the black screen with the cursor.

Uninstall 'Malwarebytes' after booting into safe mode. Next time you start your pc in safe mode, consider downloading the latest version of Malwarebytes from its official website.

If the issue still not resolve, consider booting through your Winodws bootable disc and run startup repair to bring back everything to its normal state.
