You should probably try to activate over the phone. I suggest you read these Microsoft instructions:

Microsoft refused to reactivate my Office 2010. I spent an hour last night talking to 3 people in India and one in the US. Even though they activated it when I purchased the software they will not allow me to use it now. I am switching from Outlook to eM Client for email processing and will use WordPerfect Office for letters and spreadsheets in the future. I'm done with Microsoft.
