I have a Dell Gen 5 and it's pretty old and a bit used up but I was on it and after I turned it off to watch some cable I came back and when I tried to get on the screen showed no signal but I still hear the fan and the power button that is showing green so what do I do please help and thank you!

The no signal message is displayed when the monitor does not receive a signal from the graphics card. This could be because the graphics card, memory cards or the motherboard has failed. I suggest you have a local repair shop look at it.
