My laptop doesn't show desktop icon

Hello,
i face a problem with laptop it doesn't show the desktop icon, background or even task bar when I on my laptop only my computer is open and when I close it then no desktop show no icon show and I don't able to use the computer need to restart for open any other file ....... kindly guide what should I do?????
