Hi, my computer won't start, my brother in law just fixed it, and couple days later my son dropped it, I still got to use it after he dropped but when I tried to plug it in different room it didn't turn on, it makes a noise all lights turn on as if it's going to start but 2-3 seconds later stops and starts all over again, I thought it was battery I bought a new battery but it still won't turn on:(, please help, can't afford a fixing guy..p.s, power light is on and charging light is on but third sign (looks like 3 disk stalk) has no light

Hi there,
Could tell me the model of your computer? Any physical hit may severely damage a hardware component so it is a bit hard to tell what exactly is going on. Can you actually see something on the monitor at start up? Can you enter BIOS? Do you have a Windows DVD? You can use it to boot from it, if your HDD is damaged.
I need these clarifications in order to help you properly

It may be the problem of power cable......Try to change the power cable.
