The drive where windows is I nstalled is lock

I have aser aspire 5253 .That was running windows 7 but it would not boot it said not bootable . So I went bought. Windows 8.1 and tried Installing g it will not restore, reset , nothing. It says the dri e where windows is installed is lock unlock and try again. And it says partition. Is missing . I tried the disk part with no luck I cant even find c drive are the admin. I have no internet and it will not boot so I can get to start menu. Some please help me

Bad english makes me read this post again and again, still no satisafactory results. What i recommend is, go with complete formatting the drive by installing a fresh copy of Windows. Make sure that you've already backed up all your data as it'll be gone permanently.

Moreover, run hard drive testing tools on it to check and ensure that the hard drive isn't failing.

sorry about the bad english. Let me see if If I can explain this.I have a acer aspire 5253 hdd model hitachi html s545032b9300. That had windows 7 on it . I did not havea windows disc . So I bought wi dows 8.1 because it would not boot in windows 7. I put the windows 8.1 in .It comes .I try to repair windows 7

When I try reset it said the drive where windows is installed is lock. When I try to restore it said. A partiton was missing .

I try in install wi dows 8.1 and it says windows cant be installed to this disk.this computer hard ware may not support booting to this disk ensure that the disk controller is enabled in the computer bios menu.

Windows 8 or higher supports only GPT partitioned disk as well as encrypted BIOS chipset for better security. Moreover, Windows 8 cannot be initially installed on 32-bit operating system.

You'd better continue installing new copy of Windows 7 or upgrade your system specs to taste Windows 8 benefits.
