How to clear the clipboard: Windows 7, command line

This article will walk you through how to create shortcut that will allow you to quickly clear the contents of your clipboard on Windows 7.

To create a shortcut to clear Windows 7 clipboard:

Right-click on an empty area of your desktop and click on New > Shortcut.

Next, enter the following code into the field named Type location of the item:

C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c "echo off | clip"

Click on Next. Give a name to your shortcut (i.e. "Clear Clipboard") and save your settings by clicking OK
