I had my ipod with half-way battery and doesnt turn on

Hello,

I got my ipod on my highschool graduating day this year.
its been about 4 months now that i have my ipod.
Today i took a bike ride with a couple of friends around the block.
i was really close to my house so i decided to check the time on my ipod
and for some reason it didn't want to turn on
i connected it to my charger to see if the battery wasnt charged.
I left it their for 15 minutes, and it still didnt want to turn on
What can i do please help!

first let it charge for 4 or 5 hours. Then try to start it again.
