Hi there,
Sometimes this kind of errors appear when the drive has been disconnected while still spinning. I would advise you to run Windows Check Disk. You can even use the chkdsk/f command from the Command Prompt. If there is no progress, uninstall drivers, reboot and plug the device back in.
I would recommend you to check the drive with another cable and on another PC.
