Dell 8 beep sounds and no display suddenly .

Hello,
after using my dell laptop i turned it off and for the next time when i wanted to use ,i switched on my lap but all of a sudden it gives 8beep sounds and there is no display on screen . The local repair people are saying that it may be hard disk problem or mother board probem and also the screen is spoiled ! but all of a sudden how can it happen ? how to solve this issue .please help me solve this problem as soon as possible !

Can you describe the beeps, long, short, pauses, how many of each and in what sequence ?

I too have a same problem at first the beebs are long and then it becomes short. Plz help me . Thanx in advance

Hello,
In most of the Inspiron laptops, '8 beeps' code is for the LCD failure. Pressing D and power button will initiate a diagnostics test on the LCD of your computer.

May I know if this issue is intermittent or happens every time you power on the computer?
