I have a Sony HD-E1 iTB hard drive that my laptop (Dell, windows 7, 64-bit) won't detect. I've tried going to my computer-disk management but it won't detect there either. The light shows on my HD when I plug it in and other external drives work fine.

Hi

Perhaps you can try this:

Go to the BIOS setup, & change the disk controller setting from AHCI to IDE. might worth the try.

Hi there,

I would recommend you to go to Device Manager, uninstall HDD drivers, reboot and plug the drive back in. Let it install drivers and check again in Disk Management.

Hope this helps
