Do visit Lenovo official website and download the latest audio driver and install it on your system. If you are still facing issues, consider restoring your system to any previous date when your audio device is supposed to work.
Audio card and other hardware devices will not work without proper drivers, note that not the newest drivers are the best.
To install suitable drivers, you can go to your manufacture's website and find corresponding driver,downloading and installing on your computer.
Also, there is free program that can help do all this for you. For example, DriveTheLife is such a program used to find the most suitable driver for your device then download and install the driver intelligently. Some other programs like Drive Booster, DriverEasy can do this as well.
