My laptop screen just stays black after it shows the dell logo

hey everyone i need help i have a laptop dell inspiron 15 it was working great till one day i went to turn it on it shows the dell logo where i can press either f2 or f12 but then it gos in to a black screen and stays there don't do noting else can some one please help me my girlfriend really needs her laptop back im tried of hearing it lol

Hi ArGrk,

Can you hear the initial beep sound? If you can not, you ma be facing some hardware issue. Can you reach the Advanced Boot Menu, by pressing F8 on start up? When there you should try the Last Known Good Configuration. If you still can not load Windows, enter BIOS and check if your hard drive is listed there. If it is not, unfortunately that could mean that it has failed and needs to be replaced. If it is listed there and you have a Windows DVD, try booting from it and search for a recovery option.
