No internet access despite being connected to a network adaptor

Hello,

I'm using TP-Link wireless modem router.My pc(windows xp) is wired and working fine but my laptop(windows 7),though connects with the adaptor but shows No Internet Service. My ip address is different from my pc and i've tried a lot of other things but it is not getting any internet.
What should I do...

OK, windows 7 has a little "bug" when it comes to networking. It does not always prompt you to add in a network location whenever you join a wireless network. Go into the network setting, and set the wireless connection to a location (I.E Home, Work, public). Once you set this, the firewall will allow traffic.
