OK, windows 7 has a little "bug" when it comes to networking. It does not always prompt you to add in a network location whenever you join a wireless network. Go into the network setting, and set the wireless connection to a location (I.E Home, Work, public). Once you set this, the firewall will allow traffic.
Give it a try!
